Many states currently have no regulations regarding permanent make-up, however if you are considering a career in this field you should check you state for any regulations there may be. You can review your state laws at State Law Search
So Natural Institute believes you can come from any background but should have certain qualifications if you are considering Permanent Cosmetics as a career. The obvious first is a steady hand. Being artistic is a good quality, however, we believe the number one characteristic after a steady hand is the ability to communicate with people. Communication and listening skills are the most valuable skills you need to have very satisfied clients. Without them, success is questionable. With them, we believe we can equip you with the knowledge to venture out in this wonderful field!
Having had a very successful permanent make-up business for over 15 years and an understanding of what it takes to be successful, we believe it actually takes years to master permanent make-up. As SPCP trainer members, we follow their guidelines for training and have the goal to teach students to "be safe while they are learning". When you leave our class we want you to have an understanding of safety in regards to sanitation and sterilization. in addition, it is important to learn proper technique in the application of permanent make-up so you can be safe and comfortable while you are performing procedures in your own environment. While practicing your technique in your own environment, you will benefit even more from further education by the many avenues available to you. There are organizations who provide newsletters, conventions with continuing education, and many fine teachers in the industry who provide additional training you will find beneficial.
Our classes are in a medical setting and kept to a minimum of 3 students. Each student is given individual attention in a positive environment. We hope you decide to train with us, however please make sure you choose a teacher you feel comfortable with. Make sure they have been performing permanent cosmetics for at least 5 years and offer ongoing support. For more information on how to pick a trainer, you may want to go to http://www.spcp.org/ and look at careers. Whoever you choose we wish you great success! The field is growing so much that even Doctors know that permanent cosmetics is a great addition to their services.
